Violence at Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata's General Assembly

The Annual Ordinary Assembly of Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata was suspended after violent attacks were carried out against the Board of Directors, who had to leave the Víctor Nethol Sports Center.

The origin of the scandal occurred when Oscar González Arsac, General Secretary, took the floor to lament the poor management of El Lobo.

Fans present in the venue threw bottles and chairs at the Board of Directors while chanting "they should all leave" and throwing punches. The main anger was due to the losses faced by the La Plata-based institution, which is facing restrictions for the upcoming transfer window, and where both players and employees are complaining about salary delays.

After the incidents and the suspension of the session, it was surprisingly resumed normally and featured the particularity that the financial statement was approved, with the aim that the next Board of Directors can take out a loan to pay the corresponding debts and reduce a liability that would be around 11 million dollars.

However, once the reason for the Assembly was resolved, a strong clash against the leaders occurred once again.
